In 1922, a movement of evangelical churches was born in southern Ontario. These were difficult days for some of Canada's largest denominations and many Christians were led to form new congregations. This group eventually became known as Associated Gospel Churches of Canada. Today there are over 130 AGC churches across Canada. Calvary Gospel Church is affiliated with the AGC. In 1930, special outreach services were held in Beamsville that resulted in our church being organized. Meeting first in a storefront building on King Street, the church grew rapidly. In 1939, the church moved to their building on Queen Street and then in 1974, relocated to our present location at 4129 Hixon Street. Our past is the story of godly pastors and people who laboured to bring the gospel message to our community and world. We praise the Lord for our biblical heritage and the dedicated people who planted and established our congregation. We are committed to: proclaiming the Word of God, glorifying God by making disciples and caring for the people of God. Worship with us and you will see why we say that Calvary Gospel Church is 'A Place to Begin, Believe and Belong' To learn more about the AGC Churches visit the official AGC website. |
